Artist duo formed by Ken Arai and Kanae Tanikawa (b. 1991) while students at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2015. Their installations and performances use light and heat to address social themes. Selected for the Agency for Cultural Affairs' JUMP program, with an exhibition planned at MOCA Los Angeles in 2026.

山梨県北杜市にあるGASBON METABOLISMは、工場跡地を再生したアート複合施設です。アーティスト、研究者、教育者、企業人、地域実践者が交差しながら、それぞれの問いや実践を深めるための場として運営されています。

GASBON METABOLISM, in Hokuto, Yamanashi, is an art complex reborn from a former factory. It is run as a place where artists, researchers, educators, businesspeople and local practitioners intersect, each deepening their own questions and practice.
We are not a place that provides answers. We offer an environment to meet new questions, try small practices, and generate continuous creative metabolism — while encountering different perspectives and timeframes.

GASBON METABOLISM is not a training facility, a university, or merely an artist-in-residence. It is a place where art, community, education, research and business intersect — where people, place, time and questions meet, and new practice is born.
