1990年岐阜県生まれ、東京都在住。愛知県立芸術大学を経て、2015年東京藝術大学大学院修了。身近なイメージを参照し、家具や日用品のようなオブジェクトや室内空間をモチーフに、鮮やかな照明や音響を組み合わせたインスタレーションを制作。最小限の方法で空間を異化し、鑑賞者の身体感覚や知覚に揺さぶりをかける。

Born 1990 in Gifu, based in Tokyo. Studied at Aichi University of the Arts before completing his graduate studies at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2015. Referencing familiar imagery, Tamayama creates installations combining vivid lighting and sound around motifs of furniture, everyday objects and interior space — defamiliarising space through minimal means and unsettling the viewer's bodily sense and perception.

主な展覧会に「2021年度第3期コレクション展」（愛知県美術館、2022）、「Anything will slip off / If cut diagonally」（ANOMALY、2021）、「Something Black」（ANOMALY、2023）など。豊田市美術館にて個展「玉山拓郎：FLOOR」（2025）を開催。

Selected exhibitions include "FY2021 3rd Term Collection Exhibition" (Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art, 2022), "Anything will slip off / If cut diagonally" (ANOMALY, 2021), and "Something Black" (ANOMALY, 2023). Held the solo exhibition "Takuro Tamayama: FLOOR" at Toyota Municipal Museum of Art (2025).

Relationship with GAS AS INTERFACE

GASBON METABOLISMを運営するガスアズインターフェイス株式会社が10年以上にわたり継続的に応援してきた作家の一人。クライアントワークをはじめ、CALM & PUNK GALLERYでの個展「Dirty Place」（2018）、GASBOOKシリーズから『GASBOOK 35 TAKURO TAMAYAMA』（2019）の出版、そしてGASBON METABOLISMでは滞在制作および開館時の柿落とし展（2022）を行うなど、長期的な関係性を築いている。

One of the artists GAS AS INTERFACE CO., LTD. (operator of GASBON METABOLISM) has continuously supported for over a decade — through client work, the solo exhibition "Dirty Place" at CALM & PUNK GALLERY (2018), the publication of "GASBOOK 35 TAKURO TAMAYAMA" (2019), and a residency and opening exhibition at GASBON METABOLISM (2022).

黒川紀章設計の建築と呼応するように制作された「Museum Static Lights」や「Static Lights: Tilt and Rotation」は、サイトスペシフィックな要素を持ちつつも、展示空間から独立し、巡回することで新たな場に展開できる性質を持つ。

Conceived in dialogue with architecture designed by Kisho Kurokawa, both "Museum Static Lights" and "Static Lights: Tilt and Rotation" carry site-specific elements while remaining independent enough to tour and unfold anew in different locations.
